Each photograph was taken candidly, without preparation or staging. The title "tire l'esprit du cachot," or "pull the mind from the prison cell," was inspired by "The Internationale" written by Eugene Pottier. There's no one system to manage everything, but I love to find and develop ways to untangle problems through collaborative design. coLab was a group project, focused on helping other teams in our master's program innovate with their peers and clients. Together with Love Song One, each film uses the same characters while following a nearly identical script, to bridge the narratives across their differences in style. Before shooting began, I took a series of reference photos to get a look and feel going for the film.
