I participated in the 2013 Sketchbook Project, drawing 64 unique illustrations to the book’s assigned theme: Dwellings.
I used this theme to guide my illustrations as representations of our minds through time. We go through so many different versions of ourselves throughout our lives, both physically and mentally. Amidst all those changes, I think we stay true to a core idea of ourselves. Facets of our personality move and shift, but they are all connected. To show this, I drew a silhouette figure of myself - surrounded by geometric sculptures. A hole is cut out of the book to keep that figure constant, while the environment changes around it with every page.
